I am a 34 years old dad of one who got raised in Southern California. When I used to be a kid, it wasnt unusual for me and my folks to go to Disneyland at least 3 times a year.

When I turned into a teen, Disneyland no longer interested me as the things that appeared so massive in my imagination appeared a lot smaller in precise appearance. You might say that, for me, the joys of the Wizardry Dominion had gone. Now, thru the eyes of my girl, a recent trip to Disneyland has rekindled plenty of the fond feelings I once had as a kid about the Most happy Place on Earth. Many things have changed about Disneyland over time.

However, the most important thing that remains consistent is the look of wonder in a kids face when they walk thru the entrance and into Main Street for the first time. The largest change is what was once just known as Disneyland, is now called the Disneyland Resort featuring 4 hostels, the Downtown Disney District, Disneys California journey, and Disneyland Park. Our day was spent in Disneyland Park after a half-hour parking excursion that was a little bit of a challenge and the sole blemish on our visit.

Then, work your way round the park and see some of the other biggies like the Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, and Splash Mountain. Later in the day, when all of the other kiddies are knackered, make your way into Fantasyland and ride the childhood faves like Dumbo, Mr. Toads Wild Ride, Peter Pans Flight, and the Nutty Tea Party ( the Teacups ). This strategy works just as well today as it has in the past and makes a contribution to an even better time available. Another choice is to exploit the Fast-Pass which is available on some of the rides.

The Fast-Pass is largely a ticket that lets you visit the attraction at a later, mentioned time, and skip to the front of the line. My girl loved each minute of our visit, but was particularly excited by 2 particular rides. The added features of this ride are the speakers within the train that pump out rock music in-sync with your high speed journey though outer space. My childs other favourite was The Pirates of the Caribbean. The most engaging thing about the Pirates is that its become a ride based mostly on a picture, based totally on the ride. The addition of Captain Jack Sparrow adds a fun, wheres Waldo component without detracting from rides original charm. I dont like to admit this, but I had the most fun on the buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. This interactive ride permits you to struggle against your family and friends in a laser shootout thru a blinding light show of creepy aliens and the Malignant Emperor Zurg.

My last score was enough to beat my child handily. She is, however, only 5 years of age.

Disneyland has always excelled at making a fun, family atmosphere regardless of the huge crowds that come thru their gates 365 days a year. You will never find a bit of trash on the ground and the employees have mastered the art of keeping the lines moving so everyone can enjoy their rides.

The provision of all the favourite Disney characters allows for photograph opportunities that you cannot get any place else. This enchanting day was one that my child and I will not shortly forget as we intend on starting our own family custom of visiting Disneyland Park one or more times a year.
